For our English, American, Japanese and all non-Dutchspeaking friends, please check the English translation below.

Lieve Elphesisters and –brothers,

Dear Elphesisters and -brothers,

* A new year *
First of all, we wish you all the best for this new year and thank you very much for your love, support and following our band!

*A fresh start*
For Elphesis, 2019 will be the year of creation.
And the year to expect the unexpected.
In the last couple of months we have been writing quite a few new songs and developed new sounds.
For us, January is all about auditions for the new lead singer.
All of this feels like a new start for us.

* A new name *
That's why we want to create a new name for our band.
We would love to share this process with our friends, with you!
You may feel inspiration already coming up right now or maybe you want to give it a second (or a third) thought, but please feel free to post your ideas below, anytime. Much obliged!

Elphesis is a new Dutch band writing their own songs that can be labeled as melodic rock.

All Systems Go, Dancing in my Heart and falling to pieces are tracks of the new EP to be brought out. These songs received rave critiques from the Netherlands and abroad. In February 2017, Elphesis made their radio debut with Kees Baars in DownTown Café as the debut of the Week. Elphesis played in 2017, among others on the Bevrijdingsfestval Zoetermeer and twice at the Shoreline Festival in Rijswijk. ELPHESIS is:

  • Karin Meerbeek: guitar and backing vocals
  • Henk Meerbeek: guitar and backing vocals
  • Leo Koelman: bass
  • Rob Wagterveld: drums

Some comments:

  • Mark Lacob (singer/songwriter, New York): Awesome track, great energy, lead singer has a fantastic voice, it’s a hit.
  • Trevor Danton (singer/songwriter, worked for the Who): Good lyrics, excellent!
  • John Warren (Flight of Fire, Detroit) Pretty cool, nice video to go with also, very catchy song.
  • Michel van Dijk (Alquin): I think it’s a nice song, well recorded, well played.
